A reminder….

The 9th annual British & Irish Film Season (BIFS) is taking place from 19 – 29 September in Luxembourg.

Synopsis: “A crew of two writers, two musicians, an artist and a stonemason build a naomhog – a Kerry currach – and embark on a journey that takes them from Dublin to Wexford, across the Irish Sea, along Devon and Cornwall, across the English Channel, along the north and west coasts of France, then the north and north-west coasts of Spain, to the Camino. This is a story of endurance, of adventure, of music and culture and, above all, achievement. The famous Camino de Santiago is a series of pilgrims’ paths leading to the shrine of the apostle St James in the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in north-western Spain.”

The dialogue is partly “as Gaeilge” and there is quite a bit of traditional music performed in the film (which features Glen Hansard amongst others).
