The Irish super group, The Gloaming will be appearing at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg on 5th March, just before they embark on a sold out record breaking 7 day run at the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
Most of The Gloaming’s work takes traditional Irish forms and revives them in a contemporary context. The New Yorker has remarked that “[The Gloaming] moves the music of Ireland in captivating new directions”, and The Irish Times has called their live performances “revelatory” and “likely to cement them as one of the great forces in Irish music”.

For World Cancer Day on February 4 a group of Relais pour la Vie teams have organised a night of ceilidh dancing with traditional Celtic music, featuring the Kitchen Quartet, who play Irish music made in Luxembourg, as well as two Scottish bagpipers from the Luxembourg Pipe Band, Gauthier Crommelinck and Pierrot Krier.
The night will cost just 10 euros and will be held at the Altrimenti Cultural Centre in Luxembourg City centre from 7pm on February 4.
